After spending the past few weeks simplifying everything…
And starting to build some momentum…
I’ve been thinking about what comes next.
The Temptation to Add More
At this point, it’s easy to feel like it’s time to do more.
Add more tools.
Try something new.
Expand into other areas.
That’s the natural next step for a lot of people.
Why I’m Not Doing That
Instead of adding more…
I’m choosing to stay simple.
Not because there aren’t other things I could do…
But because what I’m doing now is working.
What I’m Focusing On
Right now, my focus is still the same:
- Writing and publishing blog posts on my personal site and my niche-affiliate sites
- Working on short sci-fi content through KDP
That’s it.
No new systems.
No extra layers.
Just continuing what I’ve already started.
Why This Matters
It’s easy to mistake movement for progress.
Trying new things can feel productive…
But it can also reset your momentum.
By staying focused, you give yourself the chance to:
- Build consistency
- Improve what you’re already doing
- See results over time
What I’ve Learned
The biggest shift for me has been this:
You don’t need to keep changing direction to move forward
You just need to stay with one direction long enough for it to work.
A Simple Way to Apply This
If you’re starting to feel like you should be doing more…
Try this instead:
Keep doing what you’ve already started
But do it a little better.
A little more consistently.
A little more focused.
Progress doesn’t come from constantly changing what you’re doing.
It comes from staying with something long enough to see it through.
Right now, I’m keeping things simple.
And that’s exactly why it’s working.
