After spending the past week breaking down why so many beginners over 55 get stuck online…
I want to shift gears a bit.
Because understanding the problem is helpful.
But what really matters is this:
What actually helps you move forward?
What Didn’t Help
For a while, I thought the answer was:
- Learning more
- Finding the “best” strategy
- Getting everything set up first
That’s what I focused on.
And it kept me in the same place.
The Shift That Made a Difference
What finally helped me start making progress was much simpler than I expected.
I stopped trying to figure everything out
And started doing one small thing at a time.
What That Looked Like
Instead of:
- Trying to build everything
I focused on:
- Creating content
- Publishing something
That’s it.
Not perfectly.
Not all at once.
Just consistently.
Why This Worked
It took the pressure off.
I wasn’t trying to:
- Understand everything
- Choose the perfect path
- Build a complete system
I was just:
Taking one step I could actually follow through on
What I Noticed
Once I started doing that, something changed.
Things felt:
- Less overwhelming
- More clear
- More manageable
Not because I knew more…
But because I was actually moving.
A Simple Way To Start
If you’re feeling stuck right now, try this:
Pick one small action you can take today…
Something simple.
Something clear.
Something you won’t overthink.
Then do it.
What I’m Focusing On
Right now, I’m keeping things as simple as possible:
- Creating content
- Publishing consistently
And letting everything else come later.
Progress doesn’t come from figuring everything out.
It comes from doing something… and then doing it again.
If you’ve been stuck, you don’t need a new plan.
You just need a simple starting point.
And the willingness to take that first step.
