After talking about the simplest way to start building income online…
There’s something that might sound a little strange at first.
Doing less can actually help you move faster.
It Feels Backwards
Most of us are used to thinking:
“If I want better results… I need to do more.”
More learning.
More tools.
More strategies.
So, when something isn’t working, the natural reaction is:
Add more
But online, that usually has the opposite effect.
What Happens When You Do Too Much
When you try to do everything, your focus gets split.
You’re:
- Learning one thing
- Starting another
- Thinking about something else
And none of it gets your full attention.
So even though you’re busy…
You don’t feel like you’re getting anywhere.
What Changed for Me
At some point, I realized something simple:
Progress comes from focus, not volume
So instead of trying to do more…
I started doing less.
But with more consistency.
What That Looks Like
Right now, I’m keeping things simple.
I’m focusing on:
- Writing and publishing blog posts
- Creating short sci-fi content through KDP
That’s it.
No extra layers.
No complicated systems.
Just showing up and doing the same things consistently.
Why This Works
When you do less, a few things happen:
- You stop feeling overwhelmed
- You start finishing what you begin
- You build momentum
And momentum is what actually moves things forward.
A Simple Way To Apply This
If you’re feeling stuck, try this:
Take everything you think you “should” be doing…
And cut it in half.
Then focus on what’s left.
Do that consistently.
So, to sum this up…
Doing more doesn’t always lead to better results.
Sometimes it just leads to more confusion.
If you want to move forward…
Try doing less.
But doing it consistently.
